| Maybe look at the problem from a slightly different angle...your step daughters mum could be very jealous of your relationship with her children, with her daughter especially. Maybe she doesn't have or make the time to do the things that you are doing with her? As for the nits maybe she is trying to get rid of them herself and she's what you have done as interfering almost to the point of accussing her of neglect.Don't misunderstand me what you did is completely right im just trying to put across another point of view which may explain her actions.What ages are your step-children?Maybe try and be diplomatic..hard i know! try telling the daughter positive things about her mum which will be repeated to her her. Maybe compliment her on an outfit you know the mum has bought or choosen...she may go home repeat what you said. And yes everylittlehelps is right we do get lots of emotiinal garbage thrown at us step parents we just have continually find new ways of dealing with it. |
